Donta Hall joined the Detroit Pistons in the 2019 NBA Summer League after going undrafted, and his performance earned him an Exhibit 10 contract.

Although he did not make the Pistons’ roster, he entered the Grand Rapids Push of the NBA G League for the 2019-20 season. Hall scored 15.4 points, 10.6 assists, and 1.4 blocks in 38 games for the Drive, earning NBA G League All-Rookie Team, NBA G League All-Defensive Team, and All NBA G League Second Team honors in the process.
