Early life
Cory Sandhagen is an American martial artist born on April 20, 1992, in Aurora, Colorado. Sandhagen was a basketball team member at Smoky Hill High School, a sport he had played since he was a kid. Cory Sandhagen eventually developed an interest in combat sports, beginning with kickboxing, where he won several WKA titles. Sandhagen started his switch to mixed martial arts after winning a WKA world title.

Cory Sandhagen made his Legacy Fighting Alliance debut against Jamall Emmers on February 24, 2017, at LFA 5 but was defeated by a unanimous decision. On January 27, 2018, Sandhagen made his promotional debut against Austin Arnett at UFC on Fox: Jacaré vs. Brunson 2. He won the fight in the second round. On August 25, 2018, he fought Iuri Alcantara at UFC Fight Night: Gaethje vs. Vick. He won the fight through second-round TKO after a back-and-forth battle. He won the Battle of the Night award for this fight.
Cory Sandhagen fought Raphael Assunço at UFC 241 on August 17, 2019. He won by unanimous decision.
