Cory Sandhagen is an American martial artist born on April 20, 1992, in Aurora, Colorado. Sandhagen was a basketball team member at Smoky Hill High School, a sport he had played since he was a kid. Cory Sandhagen eventually developed an interest in combat sports, beginning with kickboxing, where he won several WKA titles. Sandhagen started his switch to mixed martial arts after winning a WKA world title.

On August 25, 2018, he fought Iuri Alcantara at UFC Fight Night: Gaethje vs. Vick. He won the fight through second-round TKO after a back-and-forth battle.
