The club started its journey as “Sky Football” in 1897. The first president of the club “Real Madrid” is Juan Padres. The official name of the club became “Madrid Football Club” in 1901.  The name became “New Foot-Ball Club” in 1902. The official journey of the ” Madrid Football Club” began on March 6, 1902. The club won its first title, “Spanish Cup,” against the team “Athletic Bilbao” in 1905. The club was the founding member of the “Royal Spanish Football Federation” on January 4, 1909.

The official name of the club became “Real Madrid” in 1920. After King Alfonso XIII permitted the club to use the word “Real” (ROYAL) in its name. The club succeeded in reaching the finals of the “Spanish Football League” in 1929.  It was the first season of the league and lost the final match against “Athletic Bilbao.” The club won the league for the first time in the “1931-32 season.” It also succeeded in defending the title in “1932-1933 season.”

Likewise, the club’s name again became the “Madrid Football Club” on April 14th, 1931. After the “Second Spanish Republic” came into power, the club had to drop the “real” word. The club succeeded in defeating the club “Barcelona” with a final score of “11-1” during “Copa del Generalisimo” on June 13th, 1943. It was at the time of “World War II.”

Moreover, Santiago Bernabeu became the president of the club in 1945. The club succeeded in becoming one of the toughest competitors of the “UEFA Champions League.” It won the tournament five times from 1956 to 1960. This allowed the club to wear the “UEFA Badge of Honor” after winning the tournament five times. The team won the title Again in 1966. It defeated the team “Partixan Belgrade” to win the title. They got the nick-name “Ye-Ye.”The club played its first “UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup.”

Real Madrid won two “UEFA Cups,” one “Spanish Cup,” five “Spanish Championships,” three “Spanish Super Cups,” and two “UEFA Cups” during the middle of the 1980s. The team succeeded in clearing the drought of thirty-two years of the “European Cup” in 1998.  The club also won the “UEFA Champions League” and an “International Cup” in 2002. It also won the “La Liga” in 2003. Ramon Calderon became the new president of the club on July 2nd, 2006. The team won the “Liga” title in the 2007 season.

Florentino Perez became the new president of the club on June 1, 2009. The team won the 32nd “La Liga” in the “2011-2012 season.” The club also won the “Supercopa de Espana” in the “2012-2013 season.” Similarly, the team won the “2014 UEFA Champions League.” It was the match against “Atletico Madrid.” The team earned their 11th “Champions League” on May 28, 2016. It also won the “2016 FIFA Club World Cup” on December 18, 2016. The team defeated the team “Kashima Antlers”  with a final score of “4-2.”

Real Madrid won the match against “Juventus” during the finals of “Champions League” on June 3rd, 2017.  The club won the match against “Liverpool” during the “Champions League” on 26th May 2018. Real Madrid succeeded in gathering “87 points” during the “34th League” title.
