At ten years of age, she won her first competition. Tennell placed first at the Upper Great Lakes regional, qualifying for the 2010 U.S. Junior Nationals two years later. Although she placed 10th place, she gained more experience.

In the 2014-15 season, Bradie Tennell competed at the Nagoya TV Cup in Japan and came in eighth place. She placed second in the 2015 Midwestern Sectionals.
Tennell placed first place and won a gold medal as a junior in the 2015 U.S. Championships, also called her “breakout moment ” by NBC Sports. Three months after the Nationals, Tennell fractured both her winds of a lumbar vertebra.
Tennell returned for the 2015-16 season but again suffered the same back injury but to a different vertebra. As a result, she had not trained for months, and Tennell told Time magazine that not skating was not pleasant or fun for her.
However, she said it made her love skating more and more motivated.
Although Tennell missed six months of competition over two years, she made her senior international debut in November 2016 and placed third place. In the 2017 World Junior Championships, she placed seventh in the free skate and short program.

For the 2017-18 season, Tennell improved her component scores and artistry. In 2018, she competed in the Olympics, representing the states, and won a bronze medal.
Tennell attended the U.S. Figure Skating’s Champs Camp in the 2018-19 season. Then, in August 2020, she announced to change her coach Denise Myers for Tom Zakrajsek and moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado.
