    Damir Ismagulov’s Early Life

Damir Ismagulov was born in Orenburg, Russia, on February 3, 1991. When it comes to his parents and siblings, little is known. He has kept those details to himself to this day. Aside from that, it is known that he attended the Institute of Physical Culture and Sports at Orenburg State Pedagogical University. As a child, he participated in football, horseback riding, and track and field athletics. Then, he relocated to Orenburg for permanent residence, enrolling at the Orenburg State Pedagogical University‘s Institute of Physical Culture and Sports.

As a student, he practiced various martial arts and met the standards of a master of sports in universal combat and hand-to-hand army combat. He has been an amateur MMA fighter since 2011, and in 2014, after winning the Russian Cup, he was awarded the title of Master of Sports in mixed martial arts.

In the bout against Rafael Alves on May 22, 2021. Damir Ismagulov def. Rafael Alves by unanimous decision (29–28, 29–28, 29–28). Alves took a step with his right hand and then missed with a flying knee. Ismagulov attempted a takedown, but Alves grabbed a guillotine, which he popped right out of. Both of the men rose to their feet. Ismagulov landed a powerful body kick, but Alves shrugged it off. With 1:45 remaining, Ismagulov attempted a takedown after Alves landed a hook. Ismagulov’s fight with Alves came to an end against the fence. Perhaps a better round for Alves, but not enough in the end.
