Damir Ismagulov’s Early Life
Damir Ismagulov was born in Orenburg, Russia, on February 3, 1991. When it comes to his parents and siblings, little is known. He has kept those details to himself to this day. Aside from that, it is known that he attended the Institute of Physical Culture and Sports at Orenburg State Pedagogical University. As a child, he participated in football, horseback riding, and track and field athletics. Then, he relocated to Orenburg for permanent residence, enrolling at the Orenburg State Pedagogical University‘s Institute of Physical Culture and Sports.
As a student, he practiced various martial arts and met the standards of a master of sports in universal combat and hand-to-hand army combat. He has been an amateur MMA fighter since 2011, and in 2014, after winning the Russian Cup, he was awarded the title of Master of Sports in mixed martial arts.

Damir was initially interested in football, horseback riding, and field athletics, but his interests evolved, and he became involved in MMA. On April 3, 2014, he defeated Alexander Chernikh quite comfortably in his amateur career debut. He then defeated Dmitriy Makarov, Magomed Tsechoev, and two other MMA fighters.
He suffered his first defeat on December 20, 2014, when Ramazan Sulebanov defeated him. He then lost to two more fighters, Salamat Isbulaev and Magomed Mamaev. He decided to go pro after three consecutive losses. He made his professional debut against David Bacskai and won by TKO.

Later, he defeated Eldar Magomedov, Sergei Andreev, Faud Aliev, and Pedro Eugenio Granjo. On September 20, 2015, he faced Ramazan Esenbaev again, and this time he lost. Nonetheless, he supported himself and did not give up hope. In his next fight, he faced Javier Fuentes and defeated him via TKO.
He has never looked back since and has won every fight. Gennady Sysoev, Vyacheslav Ten, Rubenilton Pereira, and Morgan Heraud are among the defeated MMA fighters. He defeated Maxim Divnich on May 26, 2017, to win the vacant M-1 Lightweight Championship.

Both of the men rose to their feet. Ismagulov landed a powerful body kick, but Alves shrugged it off. With 1:45 remaining, Ismagulov attempted a takedown after Alves landed a hook. Ismagulov’s fight with Alves came to an end against the fence. Perhaps a better round for Alves, but not enough in the end.
