Jon Gruden was born on August 17, 1963. His full name is Jon David Gruden. He was born in Sandusky, Ohio, to Slovene parents. His father, Jim, was a professional football regional scout, quarterbacks coach, and director of player personnel for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Likewise, his brother, whose name is Jay, played and coached in the Arena Football League.
