Elssbiay was born in the Egyptian city of Kafr El Sheikh on September 16, 1984. He is Egyptian by nationality and of Egyptian ethnicity. He currently resides in Kuwait and goes by the moniker “Big Ramy.”
He was born and raised in Baltim, Kafr El Sheikh, and received his schooling there. Later, he relocated to Kuwait and began his professional career there. He began exercising in early 2009 and joined Kuwait’s Oxygen Gym. In 2012, he competed in the Amateur Olympia in Kuwait City. Mamdouh earned his pro card by winning the event’s overall title.
