Andrew Nembhard announced plans for the 2019 NBA but eventually opted to return to the Gators for his second season. Nembhard reached 11.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.0 assistants per game and led the SEC with a 2.2 assist-to-turnover ratio.
After the season, he announced a 2020 NBA draft but did hire an NCAA-authorized agent, allowing him to return to Florida. On May 30, 2020, Nembhard withdrew from the amendment and entered the NCAA transfer portfolio.
Andrew Nembhard represented Canada in the FIBA tournament at the U-16, U-17, and U-18 levels. In 2019, he made the national team of the 2019 FIBA World Cup.
On June 23, 2020, Nembhard announced that he would be moving to Gonzaga. He has selected Bulldogs over offers from Duke, USC, Memphis, Georgetown, and Stanford. He was given the right to qualify immediately on November 24.
During his first season at Gonzaga, he came off the bench (although he played more minutes per game than the Bulldogs’ first two), averaging 9.0 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 4.4 assistants per game.
The team that entered its conference tournament can be defeated. Nembhard was nominated as the Sixth Annual West Coast Conference Man and was re-elected to the second team of the entire conference.
