In 2021, as a senior, he achieved consensus First-Team All-American status, U.K.’s first offensive lineman to have that honor since Sam Ball in 1965, and U.K.’s 12th Consensus All-American.

In addition, a young athlete was granted the 2021 Jacobs Blocking Trophy. Following U.K.’s victory over Vanderbilt, Darian was also named SEC Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week.
