Eddie Kingston Early Life
Edward More, better known as Eddie Kingston, was born on December 12, 1981, in Yonkers, New York, the USA. Edward’s other ring names are Eddie Moore, King, and Kingston. Edward’s father is Irish, while his mother is Puerto Rican.
The 2-time AAW Heavyweight Champion entered the 21-year-old wrestling on October 12, 2002. Kevin Knight coached him and BlackJack Marciano and Jigsaw. Later, he was trained at the Chikara Wrestle Factory under Mike Quackenbush and Chris Hero.
Eddie Kingston Career
Eddie Kingston performed his first All Elite Wrestling (AEW) match on July 22, 2020, in the Dynamite episode, where he faced Cody in the AEW TNT tournament in the No Disqualification match lost.
On July 31, it was announced that Edward had signed a contract with AEW. In the August 22 episode of Dynamite, Kingston teamed up with The Butcher and The Blade and the Lucha Brothers (Pentagón Jr. and Rey Fénix). In the All Out pay-per-view competition, Kingston participated in the Casino Battle Royale, where the winner of Lance Archer eventually eliminated him.
Apart from this, Kingston will say he has never been eliminated from the game as he went under the ropes and started fighting for the AEW World Championship match. In the September 23 episode of Dynamite, Edward won his AEW World Championship match against his former friend Jon Moxley, where he lost after fainting.
However, Kingston will attack Moxley after a recent game with Lance Archer in the October 14 episode of Dynamite, arguing that Moxley has never made his post. As a result, the “I Quit” match between the two was scheduled for a Full Gear event on November 7, which Kingston won.
In the November 18 episode of Dynamite, Lucha Brothers will open for Kingston after Butcher and Blade attacked Pac. In the New Year Smash on January 13, 2021, Kingston was defeated by Pac. Finally, in the Revolution on March 7, Kingston rescued Jon Moxley after Moxley’s big game against Kenny Omega, turning his face in the process.
The two will rekindle their friendship and start an alliance. In addition, Kingston will end his relationship with The Butcher and The Blade after being hired by Matt Hardy as part of his team. Kingston and Moxley clashed with Omega in the following weeks, along with his teammates The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson) and the Young Bucks.
On May 30, Edward and Moxley challenged The Young Bucks in the AEW World Tag Team Championship at the Double or Nothing event but lost. After Moxley had missed the birth of her first child, Kingston collaborated with Pentagón Jr. to face The Young Bucks in the Street Fight tournament at the Road Rager event, but they were defeated.
Kingston eventually started a feud with Miro, challenging him in the TNT Championship at All Out. After losing Miro to All Out, he competed in the competition. Edward also serves as an analyst for AEW Dark: Elevation.
