    Elias Ymer is a rising Swedish tennis player. He turned professional in 2014 and played under the guise of APT and ITF. Ymer has already won the ATP Challenger title at the 2015 Citta di Caltanissetta. In 2016, Elias won his first double APT title with his brother Mikael Ymer at the Stockholm Open.

    Elias Ymer was born on April 10, 1996, in Skara, Sweden. He is among three children born to Kelemeork Elias Yigletu and her husband, Yemer Wondwoesen. His mother works as a doctor, and his father works for a dairy company. He has two brothers named Mikael and Rafael. Elias was born to Ethiopian immigrant parents.     Elias Ymer Early life

    Ymer first learned tennis from his father, who was an Ethiopian professional athlete. After watching Michael Chang play tennis, his father decided to introduce the game to his children. Ymer has two younger brothers, Mikael and Rafael, who also play the game.     Elias started playing tennis with his brother at a very young age. His father was a marathon runner in his early days, and he inherited the genes from his father. He made his major ATP game for recording singles at the 2013 Swedish Open. Ymer made his professional debut in 2014 and landed a wild card at the 2014 Swedish Open.

He managed to win the big 2015 French Open match after winning from Roberto Marcora, Blaž Rola, and Roberto Carballés Baena. However, he lost in the first round against Lukáš Rosol by straight lines.

    Ymer got victory in his first ATP Challenger title at the 2015 Città di Caltanissetta, wining against American Bjorn Fratangelo in straight sets. Ymer qualified for the main draw for the 2015 Wimbledon Championships after winning from Thomas Fabbiano, Boy Westerhof, and Guido Pella. Defeated in the first round of 23 seed Ivo Karlović in four sets. Ymer picked for all four Grand Slams in 2015 after graduating from the 2015 US Open. He has to face defeat in the first round to Diego Schwartzman. Ymer defended his place in the 2018 French Open in a big win by winning three qualifying matches. When he won his first big match of equality, he hit Dudi Sela with straight sets.
