    Francisco Trincao is a professional footballer from Portugal who currently plays as a winger for Spanish club Barcelona and the Portugal national team.
    He began his career at Braga B, made his first-team debut in 2018, and his second season, he won the Taça da Liga in 2019-20. He signed a reported €31 million contract with Barcelona in January 2020, which took effect in July.
    Trincão is a former international youth from Portugal and has a different youth status as a young team member who won 2018 as the top scorer for the European Championships. He made his world premiere in 2020.

    Francisco Trincao‘s early life

    Francisco Trincao was born in 29 December 1999, in Viana do Castelo, Portugal, to Mr. and Mrs. Goncalo Trincao. As His parents’ firstborn, he also has a younger sister.

    He was a Portugal youth international, winning the 2018 European Under-19 Championship and being named top scorer. He began his career with Braga B, making his first-team debut in 2018 and winning the Taça da Liga in 2019–20. He signed with Barcelona in January 2020. Trincao was a Portuguese youth international who won the 2018 European Under-19 Championship and was named top scorer.

     

    Francisco Trincao’s Professional career

    Francisco Trincao, born in Viana do Castelo, began his youth career with his hometown club SC Vianense. He also spent time at FC Porto and S.C. Braga, where he completed his development.

    Francisco Trincao made his senior debut for Braga’s reserves in Segunda Liga on April 2, 2016, as an 81st-minute substitute for Carlos Fortes in a 2–1 away loss to S.C. Freamunde. On May 7, 2017, he scored his first senior goal, but it came in a 2–3 home loss to FC Porto B. He scored five goals in 2017–18, including two on October 1 in a 5–4 home win over C.D. Nacional for the club’s first win of the season, and signed a new five-year contract at the end.

    Trincao made his first challenging appearance for the first team on December 28, 2018, in a 4–0 victory over Vitória F.C. in the Taça da Liga group stage, replacing Fransérgio 62nd minute. Five days later, Dyego Sousa manager Abel Ferreira gave him his Premier League debut in the final four minutes of a home loss to C.S. Martimo.
    Trincao scored his first goal for Braga on December 12, 2019, in the final group stage game of the UEFA Europa League, as his team advanced to the knockout stages with a 4–2 win over S.K. Slovan Bratislava.

    He scored his first domestic league goal in a 7–1 away demolition of Belenenses SAD the following 4 January, after being given his first league start by new manager Rben Amorim; three weeks later, he was a 50th-minute substitute for Galeno as the Arsenalistas won the league cup final against FC Porto at the Estadio Municipal de Braga.

    FC Barcelona announced the transfer of Trincao on January 31, 2020, with the transfer initially taking effect on July 1, 2020. He agreed to a five-year contract worth €31 million with a €500 million buyout clause. On September 27, he made his La Liga debut, playing 12 minutes in a 4–0 home win over Villarreal CF. He made his debut in the UEFA Champions League group stage on October 20 in a 5–1 home rout of Ferencvárosi TC, replacing Antoine Griezmann as the starting right-winger and putting in a strong performance.
    Trincao scored his first goal in the domestic league on February 7, 2021, capping a 3–2 away win against Real Betis.

    International Career

    Francisco Trincao was a member of the Portugal team that won the UEFA European Under-19 Championship, defeating Italy 4–3 after extra time in Seinäjoki, Finland, in July 2018. He finished the tournament as the tournament’s joint-top scorer with five goals, including braces against Norway in the first group and Ukraine in a 5–0 semi-final rout.

    Francisco Trincao played all three games for Portugal at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland, scoring the only goal in Portugal’s opening win over South Korea, though his team did not advance from the group stage. On 5 September of that year, he earned his first under-21 cap, scoring once and assisting on two other goals in a 4–0 win over Gibraltar in the 2021 European Championship qualifiers.
