FC Barcelona announced the transfer of Trincao on January 31, 2020, with the transfer initially taking effect on July 1, 2020. He agreed to a five-year contract worth €31 million with a €500 million buyout clause. On September 27, he made his La Liga debut, playing 12 minutes in a 4–0 home win over Villarreal CF.
