    Franklin Gore Sr., professionally known as Frank Gore, is an American footballer who plays running back. Gore was the 65th pick in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft.

    Born on May 14, 1983, Gore hails from Miami, Florida. Gore holds American nationality and comes from an Afro-American background. His Zodiac sign is Taurus.     High School Highlights

    Frank Gore excelled as a running back on the football team and set two notable record-breaking games in high school. He scored a then-career-high 293 yards and two touchdowns on ten carry in the first game. Gore broke his record in the next game with 319 yards and six touchdowns on 13 carries.

    He broke several Dade County single-season records in his senior year, including rushing yards (2,997) and touchdowns (39). Later on, The Miami Herald named Gore the top prospect in Dade County, fourth in Florida, and fifth nationally.

    College Highlights

    In 2001, Gore attended the University of Miami and debuted against Penn State Nittany Lions. He had the third-best season total in school history as a freshman, including being named Sporting News’ Big East Freshman of the Year.

    In his next season, Gore was in spring practice when he suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee. Therefore ending his entire season recovering from knee surgery.

    He returned for his junior season after recovering from the injury. The season concluded with 89 carries for 468 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns, along with 12 receptions for 105 receiving yards.

    He played 28 games with the Hurricanes the following season, rushing 380 times for 1,975 yards and seventeen touchdowns.

    NFL Highlights

    San Francisco 49ers picked Frank Gore as their 65th pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, becoming the sixth running back to be selected. Gore signed a three-year $1.542 million contract with the San Francisco 49ers on July 28, 2005. In his NFL debut match against St. Louis Rams, he rushed 17 yards on four carries and caught two passes for 21 yards. Gore started in one out of 14 games.

    After the 2005 season, Gore underwent major surgery on both shoulders. The following season, he had fumbling problems at the beginning; however, he improved his carrying and only three more times the rest of the year.

    On March 28, 2007, Gore signed a $28 million four-year extension contract. The 2007 season concluded with 1,102 rushing yards and 436 receiving yards as the 49ers finished with a 5–11 record.

    Gore finished with 1,036 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns the following season. In addition, Gore set a career-best ten rushing touchdowns and 13 total touchdowns from scrimmage in the 2009 season. The next season, Gore ranked 94 on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2011.

    On August 30, 2011, he signed a three-year $25.9 million extension contract with San Francisco. In 2012, he was ranked 28 on the NFL Top 100 Players by his fellow players, 32 in 2013, and 46 in 2014.

    On March 10, 2015, Frank Gore signed a three-year $12 million contract with the Indianapolis Colts. As a result, Gore became the Colts first running back to rush for 1000 yards since Joseph Addai the next season.

    In 2018, he signed a one-year $1.105 million contract with the Miai Dolphins. In addition, Gore signed a one-year $2 million contract with the Buffalo Bills the following year. In Week 4 against defending Super Bowl champion New York England Patriots, Gore rushed 17 times for 109 yards and became the fourth player in NFL history to run for 15000 yards.

    Gore signed a one-year $1.05 million contract with New York and concluded the season as the Jets leading rusher, where he rushed 653 yards and two touchdowns, along with 16 catches for 89 receiving yards. On December 18, 2021, Gore made his boxing debut against another newcomer, Deron Williams. Unfortunately, Gore lost the match via SP (Split Decision).
