Turned professional in 2019, Holloway set a 60-meter hurdles record on February 24, 2021, at the World Athletics Indoor Tour in Madrid, beating the 27-year-old world record of 7.30 s Colin Jackson in 100 seconds. Earlier, Holloway matched his American description of 7.32 s in heats, already the second performance in the meet, before winning the final at 7.29 s.
His victory in the finals also made him the overall winner of the 2021 World Athletics Indoor Tour in the 60 m hurdles.
