Roach returned to basketball in his senior season, where he averaged 19.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.9 steals per game. Also, as a senior, he secured his high school a path to the VISAA D-I State Championship. Roach obtained a five-star recruit rating from Rivals, 247Sports, and ESPN. In addition, Rivals rated him No. 25, 24 by 247Sports, and 19 by ESPN.
Later on, Roach was selected to play in the 2020 McDonald’s All-American Game, Jordan Brand Classic, and Nike Hoop Summit. The games were later canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
