    High School Highlights

    Jeremy Roach started basketball in Paul VI Catholic High School. In his high school years as a freshman, Roach averaged at 11. points leading his team to a victory with a 17-4 record and a runner-up finish in the WCAC.

    In his sophomore 2017-18 season, Roach assisted his team to a 33-4 record, including 18–0 in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference and a VISAA championship where he averaged 15.2 points.

    Although Roach was performing poorly due to a torn ACL during a scrimmage, he could not play throughout his junior season.

    Roach returned to basketball in his senior season, where he averaged 19.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.9 steals per game. Also, as a senior, he secured his high school a path to the VISAA D-I State Championship. Roach obtained a five-star recruit rating from Rivals, 247Sports, and ESPN. In addition, Rivals rated him No. 25, 24 by 247Sports, and 19 by ESPN.

    Later on, Roach was selected to play in the 2020 McDonald’s All-American Game, Jordan Brand Classic, and Nike Hoop Summit. The games were later canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Roach was offered to play basketball for several colleges, including offers from Kentucky, North Carolina, and Villanova. Ultimately, he chose to play for Duke University on May 8, 2019.

    National Career

    In his high school life, Jeremy Roach also entered and played in the United States national under-16 team at the 2017 FIBA Under-16 American Championship. Roach averaged 10.6 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game in the tournament, concluding with a gold medal to his team.

    In addition, Roach also played for the United States national under-17 team at the 2018 FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup held in Rosario and Santa Fe, Argentina. In the seven games of the tournament, he averaged 6.4 points and 2.7 assists per game. The tournament concluded with his team winning the gold medal.
