Holland attended Bishop O’Dowd High School in Oakland, California, where he was a defensive back and wide receiver. As a senior, he had 34 defensive tackles and five interceptions, as well as 35 receptions for 1012 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was also set to participate in the 2018 Polynesian Bowl.

Jevon Holland began playing collegiate football for the Oregon Ducks after transferring to the University of Oregon. Jevon appeared in 13 games as a freshman, starting two of them. He had 42 tackles and five interceptions to lead the club.

In his sophomore year, he was named the starting quarterback and started all 14 games. He had four interceptions, 66 tackles, and a score during that season.

He became the highest-drafted Canadian-born player in NFL history in the 2021 draft.
