Born on March 19, 1981, Kolo Toure hails from Bouake, Ivory Coast. Toure holds Ivorian Nationality and comes from a black ethnic background. He was born under the star sign Pisces and followed the Muslim religion.
The former footballer is the son of Mory Toure. Mory is a retired army officer and farmer. His mother’s name has not been revealed; however, sources claim his mother and father are of Ivorian descent.

Kolo Toure started his football career at ASEC Mimosas in 1999 when he was 18. Later on February 2002, he joined Arsenal, which handed him a long-term fee of £150,000 annually.
Playing for Arsenal, Toure made 225 game appearances and scored nine goals. His Arsenal debut match was against Liverpool in the FA cup in August 2002.

After seven years with Arsenal, on April 13, 2009, Toure demanded a transfer following a reputed bust-up with teammate Gallas. However, the transfer request was negated, and Toure decided to play for the Gunners until summer.
Later on July 28, 2009, he transferred to Manchester City on a four-year contract, where he quickly became a crucial player and was even appointed as captain by Mark Huges.
In the 2011-2012 season, Toure appeared in 14 games, and Manchester City won their EPL title after 44 years.
The following year, he joined Liverpool and debuted on July 13, 2013, against Werst Bromich. Toure joined Celtic after his contract with Liverpool expired at the end of the 2015-2016 season.
