Krzysztof Soszynski was born on the 2nd of August, 1977 in Stalowa, Poland. He is of mixed nationality, with Canadian and Polish ancestors. He grew up in Stalowa, Poland until he was ten years old when he and his family moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Soszynski played football and soccer at Maples Collegiate for a short time. However, he later turned to weight lifting, bodybuilding, and professional wrestling. Soszynski used the kimura to defeat Shane Primmby. He once again beat former WEC Light Heavyweight Champion Brian Stann by kimura submission. Soszynski then faced Goran Reljic at UFC 122, where he won a unanimous decision. In December 2011, he had a fight with Igor Pokrajac, which he lost.
On August 15, 2014, Soszynski declared his departure from the MMA competition.
