    Larrys Mabiala is a French footballer who has signed for the Portland Timbers as a full-back. Earlier, he played for Turkish Super Lig club Kayserispor, Kayserispor, PSG, and Nice. Internationally, he represents DR Congo.

    After representing France at the international youth level, Mabiala received his first call-up to represent Congo DR in 2008. Larrys played his first international match in a 1-1 draw with Algeria in Nanterre.

    Larrys Mabiala Early Life and Bio

    Montfermeil, a native of France, Larrys Mabiala, was born on 8 October 1987, under the sign of the star Libra. He holds French and Congolese citizenship. Thirty-four years stand 1.89 m (6 ft 2 in). Mabiala grew up outside Paris in Montfermeil, one of the poorest and most dangerous places on the streets of Paris. His parents had fled the violent civil war in Congo and had settled there. His father, Jean, played football in Congo but quit the game and took a job to support his family. However, Larry’s love of football never faded, and Jean made sure to immerse his son in the game. Mabiala played football for Nogent-on-Oise and Chantilly before joining PSG.

    Larrys Mabiala Career

    Mabiala started playing football at a young age, representing Nogent-on-Oise and Chantilly, before joining Paris Saint-Germain at 14. Larrys signed his first professional contract in November 2006 and appeared twice during 2006-2007 in the Coupe de la Ligue and UEFA Cup matches. French international Under-21 international Mabiala joined English club Plymouth Argyle on loan for the entire season in August 2007. However, a long-term knee injury paralyzed the club, forcing him to return. However, a Paris for treatment eventually canceled the loan. Larrys returned to Paris Saint-Germain in January 2008 and appeared three times in Ligue 1, scoring once.

    He was transferred to another Ligue 1 club Nice in June 2009 for an undisclosed fee and signed a four-year contract. Two and a half years later, Larrys left Nice to join Turkish club Karabükspor for an undisclosed fee, agreeing to an agreement with the Süper Lig club until 2014. Larrys signed a two-year contract with Kayserispor on 7 August 2015. On 29 May 2017, a club source confirmed that Portland Timbers had signed Mabiala.

    At the international level, Larrys represented France at the global youth level. In 2008, Larrys received his first call-up to represent Congo DR. Larrys made his international debut in a 1-1 draw with the Algerian team in Nanterre.
