Lee Corso is an American sports broadcaster and ESPN football commentator, and longtime college football coach. He has been a prominent commentator on ESPN’s College GameDay program since its inception in 1987.

Lee Corso Early Life, Family, And Education
Corso is the son of Alessandro Corso and Irma Corso, both Italian immigrants. His father moved out of Italy at the age of 15. In addition, the parents of the former coach were less educated, so they worked lower-level jobs. Alessandro laid down the terrazzo flooring while Irma worked in the school cafes.
The former quarterback was born in Maryland, Florida, on August 7, 1935. In addition, he graduated from Miami Jackson Senior High and graduated from Florida State University with a degree in physical education. Later, he also obtained a degree in Administration and Supervision.

After college, Corso developed himself as a coach in Maryland under his former FSU coach Tommy Nugent. Indiana’s victory over the Cougars put the team in 16th place in the UPI poll, the first of the Hoosiers’ top-20 positions since 1967.
In one game in the 1976 season, Corso called for time after his team received a touchdown early in the second quarter. The whole group came together to get a picture and a scoreboard to fill in the back. It read: Indiana 7, Ohio State 6. It was the first time in 25 years that the Hoosiers led the Buckeyes in a football match. Corso’s record was 41-68–2 during his ten years in Indiana.
Corso was the 16th head coach of North Illinois University. During his solo season as head coach of Northern Illinois, his record was 4–4–1.
Corso made his first football coaching game at Orlando Renegades for the United States Football League (USFL) in 1985. Unfortunately, the team and the league collapsed following the season.
