Rasul began his college career at Nassau Community College in accord with Wikipedia. He had 83 tackles and five interceptions in the 2013 and 2014 seasons after redshirting in 2012.

Rasul transferred to West Virginia University in 2015. In his freshman season, Rasul Douglas played in 11 games for West Virginia, recording seven tackles and an interception.

He was selected first-team All-Big 12 in 2016 after tying for the national lead in interceptions with eight. A cornerback also had a sack and 70 tackles.

Most NFL draft pundits and commentators predicted him to be a third to fifth-round pick coming out of West Virginia. However, he was invited to the NFL combine and went through the requisite combine and positional drills.

Rasul Douglas competed in West Virginia’s pro day on March 31, 2017, and chose to run the 40, 20, and 10-yard dashes as well as positional exercises.

The Philadelphia Eagles took him in the third round (99th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft. He was the 17th cornerback in the draft and the Eagles’ second cornerback after selecting Sidney Jones in the second round (42nd overall).

To start the season, Rasul did not play in the Philadelphia Eagles’ 30–17 victory over the Washington Redskins.

In a 20–27 defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs on September 17, 2017, Rasul Douglas made his professional regular-season debut, finishing with four solo tackles and a pass deflection.

He got his first career start the next week in place of Ronald Darby, recording four combined tackles, a pass defense, and his first career interception after intercepting a ball from New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning in a 27–24 win.

In his debut season, a cornerback had 25 tackles, two interceptions, and 11 pass breakups.

The Eagles defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII, 41–33. Rasul Douglas received a 61.2 overall rating from Pro Football Focus in 2017, which ranks him 87th among all qualified cornerbacks.

Rasul was waived during final roster cuts on September 5, 2020.

The Carolina Panthers asserted him off waivers on September 6, 2020. Rasul was activated on November 2 after being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list on October 23.

As per CBS Sports, Rasul suffered a shoulder injury in his Packers debut against Washington and was questionable to return. Rasul was injured in the first half of the game and had only made one tackle before leaving.

As a result, Isaac Yiadom and Chandon Sullivan are expected to play a bigger role amid Douglas’ absence. However, Rasul Douglas returned to the game and played a significant role in the Packers’ secondary, filling in for the injured Kevin King.

He had nine solo tackles in a 24-21 win over the Cardinals on October 28 and sealed the victory for his team by intercepting a pass with 15 seconds left in the game.

Rasul had up to six tackles (three solos) in a 36-28 win over the Rams on November 28. A cornerback also had an interception returned for a score and four pass deflections.

In a 45-30 victory over the Bears on December 12, he made two solo stops, deflected two passes, and returned an interception for a touchdown.

On Christmas Day, Rasul Douglas had five solo stops and two interceptions in the Packers’ 24-22 win over the Browns.

In 12 appearances with the Packers in 2021, a cornerback racked up 57 tackles (52 solos), five interceptions, a forced fumble, 13 pass deflections, and two touchdowns.

He spent the first five weeks of the season on the Cardinals’ practice squad before being picked up by the Packers and significantly impacted the rest.

The 26-year-old is a lock to start next season on some team’s roster after being tied for fourth in the league in interceptions and 15th in pass deflections despite playing much fewer games than most of those above him.
