Rodney Peete completed his schooling at Sahuaro High School in Tucson. The nickname for him, while he was in school, was “Arizona High School Player of the Year”. He contributed to football as well as basketball and baseball for the tournaments conducted by the school. 

He completed his high school at Shawnee Mission South High School located at Overland Park, Kansas where he started his career in football, as he was drafted in the 30th round by Toronto Blue Jays. Although he chose to attend college and studied at that time. 

Rodney Peete was accepted with a football scholarship from the University of South California. He joined the football team and later he was given the opportunity to play as the quarterback in the match. He plated the 5th game of the college against Stanford University as he replaced Salisbury.

Dallas Cowboys:

Rodney Peete was signed as a free agent with the Dallas Cowboys where he replaced Bernie Kosar and also, he played as the backup of Troy Aikman. In the finale of the season, he played the game with 4: 49 minutes left for the first half, the team lost the finale. He did not play many matches from this team. Later he joined Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Washington Reskins, and finally Carolina Panthers.
