Domestic Career
Saad Bin Zafar was the lead wicket-taker for his team in the 2016-17 Regional Super50. In 2018, Zafar was selected to play for the Vancouver Knights in the player’s draft for the inaugural edition of the Global T20 Canada tournament making him the second player to be selected in the draft after Nikhil Dutta. In the finals of the Global T20, Saad Bin Zafar became the man of the match as he collected eight fours and three sixes in his unbeaten 48-ball stay for 79 runs.
In a match against the Montreal Tigers, Zafar took wickets of Sikandar Raza, George Worker, and Najibullah Zadran on duck. He won a partnership with Chadwick Walton after taking 2/22 in 3.5 overs and scoring an unbeaten 12 in 47-run.
In September 2018, he played as a replacement player for Bangladesh’s allrounder. He was selected to play for the Vancouver Knights and became the lead wicket-taker the following year.
The same year, Zafar was named in the Inaugural Edition of the Euro T20 Slam, later canceled.
In the December of 2019, he played for the Falcon Hunters and was the fifth lead wicket-taker of the season. In 2020, Zafar was traded to the Michigan Cricket Stars after being added to the Houston Hurricanes squad.

On July 4, 2008, Saad Bin Zafar made his international debut against Bermuda. In his first match, he took four wickets, including Bermuda’s Captains. On August 18, 2019, Zafar made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut against the Cayman Islands. Zafar was selected for the 2019 Malaysia Cricket World Cup Challenge League A tournament the following month. He became the most economical bowler for Canada, with an economy rate of 3.50 from 5 matches.
Saad Bin Zafar was the leading wicket-taker for Canada in the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers, with nine dismissals in five matches. In the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Americas Qualifies, he was a part of Canada’s Squad, and on November 14, Zafar became the first bowler to bowl four overs in a T20I match without conceding a run against Panama.
