According to Wikipedia, His football career started with Falkirk before spending eight years in the English leagues with Huddersfield Town and Burnley.

Scott Arfield made his Falkirk debut on August 4, 2007, in a 4–0 win at Gretna on the 2007–08 season’s opening day. His first goal came in a 4–2 loss to Inverness Caledonian Thistle for Falkirk.

In February 2008, he signed a new five-year contract with Falkirk. He finished the season by scoring three goals in 35 Scottish Premier Leagues (SPL) games.

During his time at Falkirk, he was the Scottish Premier League Young Player of the Month for December 2007 and September 2008.

In the 2009–10 season, he first appeared in a 1–0 home win against FC Vaduz in the UEFA Europa League, the club’s first-ever European competition match. Then, as the club was relegated from the SPL, he scored three goals in 36 appearances.

Scott Arfield finally left Falkirk after playing 108 games, scoring 13 times between 2007 and 2010. He played for the last time for Falkirk in the 0–0 tie with Kilmarnock, confirming relegation on the season’s last day.

He joined Huddersfield Town on May 21, 2010. He had his debut match with Huddersfield versus Notts County at Meadow Lane on August 7, 2010, and they won it by 3-0.

On September 11, 2010, Scott Arfield scored his first goal for the Terriers in an away game against Leyton Orient, where they won 2–1. He netted his first goal at the Galpharm Stadium in a 4–2 win over Yeovil Town a week later.

He made his Scottish Premiership debut against Aberdeen a couple of weeks later, on August 5. Scott Arfield got his first professional hat-trick in a 3–0 win over Motherwell on April 7, 2019.

During his international career, he represented Scotland at the under-19, under-21, and B international levels. In a 3–1 away friendly triumph over Austria, he earned his debut for Scotland under-19.

On June 27, 2017, Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) picked Scott to Canada’s roster for the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup. On July 7, he scored his first goal for Canada against French Guiana in the tournament opener.

As per the CBC, Scott has 19 caps for Canada, with two goals and seven assists. He wore the captain’s armband five times, culminating in a historic 2-0 victory over the United States in Toronto in October 2019. It was the first time Canada had beaten the Americans in 34 years.
