He was drafted by The Boston Red Sox in the 2018 Major League Baseball draft. He joined The Boston Red Sox. He was also offered a $2,552,800 as the signing bonus. He started playing for the rookie team called the Gulf Coast League Red Sox.

On June 22, he made his professional career debut as the designated hitter. Casas was injured severely while playing in a game on June 25, and he had successful surgery to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb on June 29 of 2018.

Triston Casas commenced the 2019 season with the Greenville Drive of the South Atlantic League’s Class A division. He was named to the South Atlantic League All-Star Game in early June. Casas was named to Baseball America’s top 100 prospects list in June. He was ranked 98th.
