    Vincent Edwards is an American professional basketball player who played for the Oklahoma City Blue on the NBA G League. Edwards was a star player for the SMU Mustangs, where he played during the 1990s. He was a two-time All-American, once as a guard and once at forward.

    Edwards is quite successful in his career because of the effort he puts into his basketball training. He is a champion of the NBA G League in 2019 and the second-team All-Big Ten in 2018. Following that, he was also awarded the Third-team All-Big Ten in 2017.

    His determination and skills are one of the things that make him return back to his Oklahoma City blue team once again.

    Vincent Edwards Early Life

    Vincent D. Edwards was born on April 5, 1996, in Middletown, Ohio. He is an American player weight 225 lb (102 Kg) and height 6 ft 8 in (2.03m). His is a son Bill Edwards (father) who is a famous former NBA player as well as a Wright State star. Besides, his mother’s name is Glennetta Patton.

    Both of his parents are proud of Vincent and the career he chooses as a basketball player. All of his inspiration came from his father (Bill Edwards). He used to practice with his father and learn various skills to make him recognized as the best player on the basketball team.

    Edwards went to the Middletown High School on where he was on the Purdue basketball team. There he started his freshman basketball season and was also rewarded three times as the best freshman of the week from the Big Ten Conference.

    While in Purdue, he used to score an average of 11.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

    Apart from that, Vincent always gets inspired by his idol Micheal Jordan. He used to watch every game of Jordon and try to increase his basketball skills similar to him.

    Vincent Edwards’s junior career is started on Purdue (Boilermaker basketball team) back in college. He used to score an average of 12.6 points, 3.6 assists, and 4.9 rebounds per game and was recognized as the third-team All-Big Ten.

    Following that, he also wins over Indiana by scoring 26 points on February 9, 2017. With that win, he also started to improve his basketball skills and level before playing for the NCAA tournament for Boilermakers.

    In his senior career, Edwards used to score an average of 14.6 points, 2.9 assists, and 7.5 rebounds per game. After a long journey on Purdue, gaining excellent scores, and being recognized as Second Team All-Big Ten, he finally leaves the boilermaker basketball team. But before leaving, he won the silver medal in the 2017 Summer Universiade held in Taipai, ROC for Purdue.

    Vincent continues his professional career in Houston Rockets from 2018 to 2019. There he was selected by the Utah Jazz for the NBA draft 2018. Later on, Edwards joins their G League affiliate which is the Rio Grande Valley Vipers and won the championship.

    After Houston Rockets, Vincent later joins the Oklahoma City Blue from 2019 to 2020. He scores an average of 35 points with 11 rebounds and 2 assists and wins the game over Long Island Nets.

    However, his stay in Oklahoma was not short because Canton Charge acquired Vincent Edwards in exchange for Tyler Cook. During his stay, he scores an average of 3.4 points with 2.4 rebounds and 1 assist per game.

    Besides, Edwards leave the Canton and later joined the Oklahoma City Blue once again on January 28, 2021.
