    Childhood and youth  

    žydrūnas Savickas was born on July 15, 1975, in the administrative center of the Birzai region, located in the north of Lithuania. He was fat from his childhood and suffered different bullies, so he decided to change his weakness into strength.   

    He wasn’t aware of powerlifting as a sport at an early age, but after he knew about this, he gave his best and practiced with full dedication with his local mentors in the local gym, lifting weights and barbells.

     

    Carrer  

    žydrūnas Savickas began his career in 1991 by watching a Lithuanian strongman contest went there and defeated many older and more experienced competitors. Then at the age of 17, žydrūnas Savickas began to train in powerlifting, and he broke all the Lithuanian records in powerlifting   

    In 1998 žydrūnas Savickas won his first Lithuania’s Strongest Man contest, but throughout his journey, he won this title 16 times. Savickas then competed in the 1998 and 2000 World’s Strongest Man contests but failed to qualify for the finals both times, but he won the silver medal in the World powerlifting championship in Japan with a total of 1,020 kg.

    Physically žydrūnas Savickas has a gigantic athletic body. His height is 6ft and 3in, and he has a weight of around 170kg –182kg. He has got black hair, black eyes, and fair white skin. The size of his body is incomparable with the normal size of the human body.

In IFSA Strongman World Championships, he won first place in 2005 and 2006. He achieved first place eight times in Arnold Strongman Classic, one-time first place in Arnold Strongman Classic-Europe, three-time first place in Europe’s Strongest Man. first and second place in Strongman Super Series. Two times first place in Strongman Champions League and sixteen-time first place in Lithuania’s Strongest Man.   

    He has one of the highest numbers in trophy count. He has won a total of 44 big competitions throughout his career.
