Ashok became the youngest and first Indian woman to win the Lalla Aicha Tour School and defended her Ladies European Tour card for the 2016 season. This victory also made her the youngest winner in the Q-School for International Travel. Ashok won the 2016 Hero Women Indian Open by 3 points under par 213, and this time became the first Indian to win the Ladies European Tour title. Her win has received the most attention in golf in a world that used to focus on cricket.

Her win was on the first page of the country’s largest newspaper, the Times of India, and she was featured nationally on television. She got her second win two weeks later at the Qatar Ladies Open and finished her second season in Order of Merit. In addition, she won the Rookie of the Year award.
