    Andrés Perea is a professional soccer player who represents Orlando City in Major League Soccer as a midfielder. Perea, a Colombian youth international, was named a senior United States international in January 2021. His full name is Andrés Felipe Perea Castaeda.

    Andrés Perea was born in the United States on November 14, 2000, in Tampa, Florida. The 6-foot-3 midfielder has a sweet spot for soccer. Nixon Perea, his father, was a Colombian soccer player. So Andres was encouraged to play soccer.

    Andrés Perea spent his first five years of life in Tampa, Florida, where he played for Old Mars FC and West Florida Premier. At six years of age, he traveled to Colombia and joined the Atlético Nacional youth academy. Perea was a member of the Atlético Nacional team that won the coveted Torneo de Pony Ftbol national youth competition in 2013.

    Club career

    Andrés Perea joined the MLS team Orlando City on loan for the 2020 season on December 9, 2019. On February 29, 2020, he made his squad debut as a replacement.

    Perea’s loan was made permanent as part of the club’s end-of-season roster movements on December 2, 2020, after 28 appearances in his rookie season with Orlando. In 2017, Orlando City SC #21 was drafted for the Atletico National Senior Team, where he spent three years. In 14 appearances for the club, he only scored once.

    Andrés Pereae is now a member of the MLS club OCSC. In the MLS 2021 season, he has already scored two goals. In addition, his attacking and defensive abilities have helped them win numerous games.

    Andrés Perea, born in Tampa, Florida, is a dual citizen of the United States and Colombia. Perea represented Colombia at both the Campeonato Sudamericano Sub-17 and the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2017. Andrés Perea was called up to Colombia’s under-20 squad in May 2019 as an injury replacement for Yéiler Góez for the FIFA U-20 World Cup. He started all five games as Colombia advanced to the quarter-finals before being defeated by eventual winners Ukraine.

    Perea was called up to United States national team in December 2020 first time, to replace Frankie Amaya for a friendly against El Salvador, but he did not play.

    On January 31, 2021, Andrés Perea made his United States debut as a half-time substitute for Sebastian Lletget. As a result, Perea was picked to the final 20-man US under-23 roster for the 2020 CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Qualifying Championship, which will be held in March 2021.
