Chase Kalisz is an American-based professional swimmer who has won two World Championships gold medals in the 200m and 400m at Budapest. Kalisz recently received media attention when he won the Olympic gold medal in the 400 meters. It is Team USA’s first gold medal in the ongoing Olympic Games.
The gold medalist is also known as Killer Kalisz and competes heavily with Individual Medly, a combination of four styles: backstroke, butterfly, freestyle, and breaststroke. He is also a recurring champion in national championships and the U.S. national championships. After winning gold, Chase commented that it had been a lifelong dream to own a coveted medal. Chase Kalisz Early Life and Family
Chase Tyler Kalisz, Olympian, was born March 7, 1994, in Bel Air, Maryland, USA. His father, Mike, is a sports director at Hereford High in Baltimore County. His mother, Cathey, on the other hand, works for the government. Chase grew up in a loving family with three other brothers, his older sister Courtney, his younger brother Connor, and his younger sister Cassidy. The Kalisz family tended to swim, and naturally, a little chase started in them. But a terrible accident made his family wonder if he could walk, let alone swim again.

He coached at the North Baltimore water club, a well-known Paul Yetter coach. In addition, he had set various national team records. As the family says, “He was a natural person.” The friendly banter between the siblings in terms of their success developed a sense of competition in Kalisz. So he started training hard, and he went to that water club. While Injuries have reduced Courtney’s work, Chase has continued to do his best. After graduating in the year 2012, he even competed in the Olympic trials but could not make the team.
