    Bobby Finke, an American swimmer swimming at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He is one of the United States representatives at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics at the men’s 800- and 1500-meter relay events. At the year 2017 World Aquatics Championships, he competed in the men’s 1500 freestyle men’s event.

    A native of Tampa, Florida, Finke was born on the 6th of November 1999, under the sign of the star Scorpio. He is twenty-one years of American citizenship and is of white descent. He stands 6 ft 1 tall and weighs 78 kg. Before swimming in college, Bobby swam with Coach Fred Lewis at the Saint Petersburg Aquatics (also known as SPA) club, based in Saint Petersburg, Florida.

    Bobby Finke Career

    At the age of 14, Bobby Finke successively broke the 800m Florida State Championship (FLAGS) 800m freestyle with a time of 8: 25.20. In addition, he broke the 1500m freestyle record, dropping more than 15 seconds, a time of 15: 56.82. Finke also achieved the USA Swimming Open Water Junior Nationals for finishing first for all swimmers under 18. Finke finished seventh in a field that included both open water swimmers and trained swimmers.

    Finke completed graduation from Countryside High School in Clearwater, Florida, competing with his high school team. He also swam the Saint Petersburg Aquatics club. There he was trained by Fred Lewis. Finke achieved much during his high school years. Finke coached Team USA World Championship at FINA in 2017 and became a USA National Swimming team member.

    In the 2018 Phillips 66 National Championship, Finke finished second in the 1,500 meters freestyle with 14: 55.34. Finke reached the third-fastest time ever at the 2018 Pan Pacific Championship with a 14: 48.79 in the 1,500-meter freestyle and achieved NISCA All-American twice and USA Swimming Scholastic All-America. Finke also achieved the Florida Swimming and Diving 4A State Champion at several events. Going to college, Finke was ranked as the No-18-Ranked recruit overall and the No. 1 swimmer in Florida for the 2018 class.

    Robert Finke is currently swimming at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Finke helped the Florida Gators swim with the men’s team at the University of Florida to score more points in 2019, 2020, and the 2021 Conference Championship they met. Finke’s head coach is Anthony Nesty. During his career at the University of Florida, Finke received numerous awards. Some of these honors are Four-time All-American, 2020 All-SEC Team First, 2020 SEC Champion (1,650 Free), 2020 SEC Academic Honor Roll, similarly in 2019 SEC Champion (1,650 free and 400 IM), 2019 All-SEC First- The team, the 2019 Co-SEC Freshmen Swimmer of the Year, and the 2019 SEC All-Freshman team.

    In 2021, Finke achieved first in the 800m freestyle at the 2020 US Olympic Team Trials, qualifying him for the Tokyo Olympic Games. Finke also won the 1500m Freestyle, completing with 14: 46.06 making it his second event to be eligible for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Finke was named among the 53 swimmers representing the United States at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Bobby Finke achieved first in the Men’s 800M Freestyle, taking home gold in 7: 41.87 in his first Olympics.

    He also received first place in the Men’s 1500M freestyle in a time of 14:39:65, taking the gold from Team USA. Bobby was the first time an American man had won a 1500m freestyle event at the Olympics in 37 years. Finke was far behind in the race in both the 800m and 1500m freestyle swimming but went over to the finish line, placed him first, and defended the gold medal.

    Coming from a swimming family, Finke’s mother, Jeanne, swam to Ball State and his father, Joe, is a swimming coach with Saint Petersburg Aquatics. In addition, his older sisters: Autumn Skye Finke, swam to the University of Florida, while Ariel Summer Finke swam to Florida State University. The trio Finke brothers qualified for the 2016 Olympic Trials. Coming to his love life, the swimmer is currently in a relationship with Ellie Zweifel. Bobby enrolled at the University of Florida and is a member of the swimming team. They have been dating since October 2018.

    Pro swimmers receive grants from Olympic Committees and National Teams. In addition, top swimmers receive prize money and receive support from individual donors and sponsors. A University of Florida swimmer, Finke does not receive a salary to represent a college team in competitions. In addition, Finke is currently competing in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
