Chris McKendry started her career as a sports reporter in WJLA-TV, ABC in Washington D.C. She first joined as an anchor sports reporter in July 1996 and later moved to ESPN News for launching the 24-hours sports news network. She is a fan favorite from the beginning of the launch of the show and gained lots of popularity from there.

After a successful year on the 24-hours show, McKendry returns back to the SportsCenter for co-hosting the weekend morning and weekday 6 p.m. It was the edition of the network flagship news and the information program on where she also becomes the best hoster in the show.

Apart from her work in the SportCenter, she is also completed various bigger programs side by sides such as the 2007 late-night host of ESPN Wimbledon coverage and U.S Open coverage back from 2002 to 2006.
