Florian Marku is an Albanian Boxer and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter. Since turning professional in 2018, Marku is yet to lose a match. His impeccable record has quickly made him a fan favorite.

Florian Marku was born in Lushnje, Albania on September 29, 1992. His parents moved to Greece from Albania when he was little, however, he still holds an Albanian nationality. He started his boxing career in the town of Thessaloniki in Greece and later on was trained by George Armagos to become a kickboxer, an art in which he excelled.
Florian Marku made his MMA debut on 9 October 2016 at the Greek Fighting Championship. He went on to win 3 more matches in the competition. In December 2018, Marku made his professional debut at the Beste Event Halle in Ulm, Germany, where he knocked out Nikola Janicievic in the 1st round and started turning a lot of eyes. He had 5 more matches lined up for him that year and went on to win all of them. On November 10, 2020, he defeated Muma Mweemba at BT Sports Studio, Stratford, UK, making his global presence known.
After returning to The SSE Arena for his next fight in which he faced Rylan Charlton, on February 20, 2021, Florian Marku suffered a knockdown in the sixth round after receiving a right-hand jab by Charlton. However, Marku went on to secure a TKO win in the eighth round, maintaining his streak.

Marku stands at 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs around 155 lbs. He is an instinctive fighter who has immense power in both his left and right hands. Six of his eight wins have come early in the rounds and they usually end with a Knock Out or a Technical Knock Out when the opponent is no longer able to continue. He believes that speed and agility is his real power. When Florian Marku faced Rylan Charlton, he showed his true power when he pounded Chalton into submission while the entire world watched him live on TV via Sky.

Marku has maintained a 6-0 win/loss ratio in the MMA, a feat not all fighters can achieve. Despite having started from humble beginnings and no connections in the MMA world whatsoever, Florian Marku has steadily climbed up the ranks to become one of the permanent faces of the MMA scene and he has now set his eyes on the UFC where he dreams of playing against Connor McGregor. To achieve his dreams he is working really hard and is training regularly with UFC fighter Ilir Latifi.

He Tweeted, “Yes of course I love the British fans because they love boxing, and I’m happy that people start knowing me and recognizing me here.”
Marku’s career hasn’t been all glory days. In 2014, he was sentenced to prison by the Austrian and Greek Courts for a crime he had committed back in 2012. He served 4 and a half months in Austria and went on to serve 13 months sentence in Greece.
