According to Wikipedia, he started his career at Stella Club d’Adjamé when he joined their youth program in 2010. Franck was promoted to the first team in 2014.

In a three-year deal, he joined Serie A club Atalanta on January 29, 2015. He was allocated to the club’s Primavera squad and made seven appearances for the side upon his arrival. On March 1, Franck Kessie made his European debut, starting in a 2–0 away win over AC Milan Primavera.

An Ivorian was called up to the first team for a match against Roma on April 18, 2015. However, Franck Kessie was an unused substitute in the 1–1 draws.

After exercising with the first team during the pre-season, he made his La Dea debut on August 13, 2016, starting and scoring the game’s final goal in a 3–0 Coppa Italia home triumph over Cremonese.
