According to Wikipedia, she made her ITF Junior Circuit debut at the Grade-4 Swiss Junior Trophy, reaching the doubles final in February 2011.

Jil won her first junior title in singles in the Grade-5 Luzern Junior Competition in September 2011. Jil Teichmann was a former world No. 3 junior tennis player.

In February 2013, Jil won her first doubles title at the Swiss Junior Trophy. She reached the quarterfinals in doubles at the 2014 Australian Open, her first Grand Slam appearance.

In July, she won the Palermo International, defeating Kiki Bertens in the final for her first top-10 victory. She made another WTA final in August 2020 but lost to Jennifer Brady at the Lexington Challenger.
