Hoilett was born to David and Ingrid Hoilett on June 5, 1990, in Brampton, Ontario. He has a Jamaican origin because his father is from Ocho Rios, a town in the parish of Saint Ann on the north coast of Jamaica.

Junior Hoilett Career

As per Wikipedia, he began his football career with Brampton Youth SC, a local team in his hometown. Hoilett toured the world with his club and noticed a competition in Wales.

However, he rejected an extended trial with Manchester United in favor of joining Blackburn Rovers, believing Junior Hoilett had a greater opportunity of breaking into the first team there.

As a result, Junior Hoilett joined the Rovers’ youth academy in 2003. Hoilett went to St Bede’s Roman Catholic High School in Blackburn after moving to England. Before signing his first contract at 16, he proceeded through the club’s youth system.

At 17, a Canadian player made his senior debut against Kickers Offenbach in a 3–2 victory on February 3, 2008. His first match as a starting eleven was versus 1899 Hoffenheim on March 9, 2008.

Hoilett scored the sole goal of his loan season against Borussia Mönchengladbach, and that was his last game with the club. Unfortunately, Paderborn got relegated at the end of that season.

After that, Junior Hoilett was again sent to another German team F.C. St. Pauli on loan for the 2008–09 2. Bundesliga season. On August 22, 2008, Hoilett debuted for St. Pauli against Greuther Fürth.

Hoilett signed Queens Park Rangers (QPR) on July 27, 2012, for a price determined by a tribunal after rejecting to renew his contract with the Rovers. Instead, he agreed to a four-year deal.
