How did Lawrence started his career?

Rivals graded Calvert Hall as a 4-star prospect. As a senior, he caught 50 passes for 500 yards and seven touchdowns. In the 2015 U.S. Army All-American Bowl, he had a 54-yard touchdown catch. With a height of 6 feet, 9 inches, he also captured the outdoor and indoor high jump titles at the Maryland state prep track meets. The Walter C. Troutman Football Scholarship was awarded to him.

Since sustaining a season-ending injury prior to fall camp, he was given a medical redshirt. He started one game and caught eight passes for 70 yards and one touchdown. He was a starter on special teams, and his playing time grew as the season progressed. On Sept. 19, he had his first career touchdown catch against UNC and his first two career catches against Nebraska.

Lawrence Cager started 12 of the Hurricanes’ 13 games and led the team with six touchdown receptions. He also ended the season with 21 receptions for 374 yards. He caught at least one pass in 12 of the team’s 13 games, and his 17.8 yards per reception led the team. In the season opener against LSU, he had a 36-yard catch. He also had two touchdown receptions against FIU and Florida State, as well as a team-high 58 yards on three catches against Virginia.

Played in nine of Georgia’s 14 games, starting six, and catching 33 passes for 476 yards and four touchdowns. Against the Gators, he had 132 receiving yards, the most by a Georgia receiver in over six years.
