The club’s birth was a result of the dispute between the club “Everton” and the then president of the club John Houlding. John founded the club in the Anfield stadium in 1892. Before the establishment of the club, “Everton” used to play in the club. The previous name of the Liverpool was “Everton F.C. And Athletic Grounds Ltd.”The official name of the club was changed into “Liverpool F.C.” in March 1892. It received its official recognition in June 1892.

Liverpool played its first match on 1st September 1892. It was a friendly match against the club “Rotherham Town.” The team won the match with the finals scores of “7-1.” Most of the players in the team were players from Scotland.
