Milan Borjan is a Canadian professional footballer. He is a goalkeeper and plays for the Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade (also a captain of the club) and the Canada national team.
Milan Borjan Early life
On October 23, 1987, Milan was born to Bosko and Mirjana Borjan under the sign of Scorpio in Knin, SFR, Yugoslavia. At present, he is 34 years old. He is 80 kg and 6 feet 5 inches tall regarding his physique.

As per Wikipedia, Milan Borjan started playing soccer with FK Radnički Beograd before heading to Canada permanently. He had a trial with Boca Juniors in 2005 but didn’t sign a contract with the club.
Instead, Milan joined Club Nacional de Football in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 2006 to play for their junior squad, then in July 2007, he went on trial with Club Atlético River Plate in Argentina.
Quilmes was his final South American club, where he played from January 2008 through the 2007–08 Primera B Nacional season.
In January 2009, he returned to Serbia and signed with FK Rad. However, he had trouble getting into the first team at first.
However, he quickly became the club’s only available goalie. Milan made his debut in a 3–2 triumph against FK Smederevo on August 16, 2009.

Milan was loaned to the Romanian side SC Vaslui from Sivasspor in 2012. Thus, Vaslui was able to qualify for the UEFA Champions League (UCL) when he had seven clean sheets in 16 starts.
After his successful loan spell in Romania, he returned to Turkey and finally got a chance to start the lineup at Sivasspor on September 2, 2012, against Fenerbahçe in a 0-0 draw.
However, unfortunately, he again faced a lack of playing time under new manager Roberto Carlos and had his contract terminated in February 2014.
On September 12, 2014, he moved to Bulgarian club PFC Ludogorets Razgrad. Milan made his club debut in the UCL group stage against Liverpool F.C. in a 2–1 away defeat.
In the summer of 2015, Milan was released by Razgrad. Therefore, he signed with Serbian club FK Radnički Niš in a one-year deal on February 15. On February 23, Milan made his debut in a 0–0 draw against Red Star Belgrade.
On June 2, he returned to Razgrad in a three-year contract as a second-choice goalkeeper. Nonetheless, he got a chance to show his ability after their first-choice goalkeeper Stoyanov suffered a major injury.
He was sent out to join the Polish team Korona Kielce on loan by Razgrad on February 15, 2017, for the rest of the season. He played 14 league games and made five clean sheets.
Milan Borjan made his transfer to Red Star Belgrade on July 24, 2017. The club gave him a three-year contract.
On July 27, he debuted in a home win over Sparta Prague in the third qualifying round for the 2017–18 UEFA Europa League. He had a clean sheet in that game, and it was the first leg of the qualifying round.
Milan assisted Belgrade in securing the spot for the 2018-19 UCL’s group stage in his second season with the club. Later, in the ULC, he successfully kept a clean sheet against the likes of Napoli (0-0 draw) and Liverpool FC (2-0 home win).
Hence, he was offered a contract extension until 2023 in February 2019, following which he would retire. Shortly after, he was named Red Star’s club athlete of the year.

Talking about his international career, Canada national team called him to join the team in 2010, following strong performances with FK Rad. On February 3, 2011, he made his Canadian senior team debut in an exhibition game versus Greece.
On June 11, 2011, Milan debuted in the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup with a 1–0 triumph against Guadeloupe.
Recently, he kept a clean sheet against the US in a 2-0 home win. Therefore, Canada Soccer awarded him Canada’s player of the month for January 2022.
