Ryan Preece started his career in stock racing in 2007 by taking part in Northeastern Midget Association Championship. At that time, he joined the Bertrand team and finishes the game in the 32nd position. After that, Preece again participates in the same Midget race and manages to come in 3rd place on the Monadnock track.
In 2011, Preece competes in SK modifies Series for the first time, and win the championship. Later on, he joined the NASCAR Whelen Modifies Tour in the same year and wins the race by dominating Made In America Whelen 300.
After winning the NASCAR Whelen Modified tour later Preece debuted in Nationwide Series back in 2013. He drives a No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro for Tommy Baldwin Racing and manages to secure the 24th position.
A year later in 2014, Preece participate in the same series and finished in 14th position with No.36 Camaro. It was a beautiful year for Ryan because he also returned back and competed in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and finish in 2nd place after winning the last 2 races.
