Seimone Augustus, who was born on April 30, 1984, was an American basketball player who last played for Los Angeles Sparks of the Women National Basketball Association (WNBA), Dynamo Kursk, and the American national team. He was drafted by the Minnesota Lynx for the first time in the 2006 WNBA Draft and left to sign with Sparks 14 years later.
Augustus, an eight-year-old star, was one of the most famous people in the WNBA, winning MVP awards while leading the Lynx in the 2011 WNBA tournament, the first of four to win a team.

Seimone Augustus Early life
Seimone was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; she is the daughter of Seymore and Kim Augustus. Before her first year of high school, Augustus appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated for Women, with the title, “Is She the Next Michael Jordan?” Seimone played for Capitol High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he was named WBCA All-American.
