Vitor succeeded in winning the match through knockout within 12 seconds. His skills and performance opened his gate to enter the “Ultimate Fighting Championship” (UFC). There he got his nickname “The Phenom.” Vitor succeeded in defeating two fighters in his debut event during the “UFC 12 Heavyweight Tournament.” Vitor succeeded in becoming the “youngest fighter” to win the match at the age of nineteen. He won the match against Tank Abbott through technical knockout during “UFC 6.”

Pride Fighting Championships (PFC)

Moreover, Vitor lost the match against Randy Couture in 1997. He won the match against Joe Charles through an armbar. He won the match against Wanderlei Silva through TKO in 1998. Vitor began his journey with the “PRIDE Fighting Championships” in Japan. He fought Kazushi Sakuraba for the first time in the tournament in 1999. Vitor lost the match very badly. Vitor decided to changed his trainer and went on to start training with the “Brazilian Top Team.”

Vitor Belfort fought the match against Randy Couture during the “UFC Light Heavyweight Championship” on January 31st, 2004. He won the match against Priscila Belfort on January 9 in just “49 seconds.” They again fought for the third round. He lost the third match against Randy Couture on August 21, 2004. Vitor lost the match in the third round through “doctor stoppage.”

Vitor Belfort fought Tito Ortiz in the “UFC” on February 5, 2005. He also fought Alistair Overeem in “Strikeforce” and lost the match through a unanimous decision. Vitor lost another match against Dan Henderson during “Pride 32: The Reak Deal” on October 21st, 2006. But after the match, his blood samples found positive for the “4-hydroxytestosterone”.” This drug is illegal, and this resulted in his punishment. Although he had medical reasons for the sample found, he had face suspension for nine months and a $10,000 fine on December 21st, 2006.

Moreover, Vitor Belfort won the match against Ivan Serati through TKO during “Cage Rage 21” on April 21st, 2007. Vitor defeated Luke Rockhold during “UFC on FX: Belfort vs. Rockhold” on May 18, 2013. He succeeded in winning the match in round one through knockout. Vitor won the match against Dan Henderson during “UFC Fight Night 32” through knockout on November 9, 2013. Vitor also won the “Knockout of the Night” bonus.
