Oxspring joined the Hanshin Tigers at Nippon Professional baseball (NPB) in the 2006 season. On December 15, 2006, Oxspring signed a minor league contract with Milwaukee Brewers.

However, on July 10, 2007, his contract with the Brewers was sold to the LG Twins of the Korea Baseball Organization just one day before he became the first Pacific Coast League pitcher in the 2007 Triple-A All-Star Game. Internationally, Oxspring was the Australian star at the 2004 Olympics, a 2-0 win over Japan, earning him a silver medal.

Oxspring won the Australian Baseball League’s first official stadium to host Andrew Graham when the Blue Sox played Canberra Cavalry on November 6, 2010. Oxspring thrashed six closing innings in a 1-0 win over Sydney.

On December 8, 2010, while playing for Sydney Oxspring, he signed a minor league contract with an invitation for Springbok training with Detroit Tigers. At the end of the 2010-11 season of the Australian Baseball league, he led the league in the included innings (68.2), the game started (11), and batting (71).
