Guillermo Rigondeaux is a top Cuban boxer and has won two Olympic gold medals. In addition, he is a two-time Bantamweight world champion and Autism Fighter. The seven-time Cuban world champion is famous for his quick wit, exceptional boxing skills, and defensive skills. He is best known as El Chacal (“The Jackal”) Rigo.

On September 30, 1980, Guillermo was born in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba, to a Cuban couple. He had been physically healthy since childhood. Guillermo had a passion for boxing and fighting. Rigo began his warfare journey in 2000 from the Bantamweights Divison. He completed his training course to fight 475 battles with just 12 defeats. That’s a fantastic thing for a boxer. He says that while he remembers all the victories, he finds the memory of his son’s beautiful smile. Rigo has won gold medals that go back from 2000-2006. That is the seven gold medals in the Cuban National Cup.

In February 2009, Rigondeaux resigned from Mexico City to Miami, signing with Arena Box-Promotion. On February 5, 2010, Rigondeaux hit the first-round knockout against Adolfo Landeros, knocking down Landeros with an uppercut hard left in the body. In the sixth round, two was counted as a super bantamweight, Rico Ramos (20-0, 11 KOs). Rigondeaux was then scheduled to take on bantamweight roster Joseph Agbeko on December 7, 2013, at Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, New Jersey. Top Rank has announced that the next defense will be for veterans Sod Kokietgym (63-2-1, 28 KOs) on July 19, 2014, at the Cotai Arena, Macao, China. On December 31, 2014, Rigondeaux retained his title against Japan’s Hisashi Amagasa at Bodymaker’s Colosseum, Osaka, Japan. Rigondeaux was twice down in the seventh round but said one of them was slippery. Amagasa was down at nine. Referee Mike Ortega stopped the swelling in his right eye and paralyzed face from what appeared to be a broken jaw or cheek.

He has achieved 13 wins by knockout, seven by decision, and one loss by knockout, one by decision, and one by no contest.
