Guillermo Rigondeaux is a top Cuban boxer and has won two Olympic gold medals. In addition, he is a two-time Bantamweight world champion and Autism Fighter. On September 30, 1980, Guillermo was born in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba, to a Cuban couple. He had been physically healthy since childhood. Guillermo had a passion for boxing and fighting. Guillermo Rigondeaux Career

Starting his boxing career in about 2000, Rigondeaux won two gold medals in successive Olympics in the bantamweight division. He made his countrymen proud of both the 2000 and 2004 Sydney Olympics at the Athens Olympics. Guillermo has won three world cups. Jackal also won a gold medal at the PAN American Games in Santo Domingo. On July 22, 2007, Guillermo and teammate Erislandy Lara failed to appear in their planned Pan American Games in Brazil. It was first announced that Rigondeaux would turn professional, joining Cuban Cuban counterparts Odlanier Solis, Yuriorkis Gamboa, and Jan Bartelemí, who defected in early 2007.

However, on the date August 2, Rigondeaux and Lara were detained by Brazilian police, saying they wanted to return home to Cuba. He is promoted in partnership with Baris Arencibia’s Caribe Promotions. On March 19, 2011, Rigondeaux fought Willie Casey at the City West Convention Center, Dublin, Ireland. This was Rigondeaux’s defense for the first time with his interim WBA title. On January 20, 2012, Rigondeaux won the full WBA super bantamweight title by winning the title and champion of The Ring No. magazine. In the sixth round, two was counted as a super bantamweight, Rico Ramos (20-0, 11 KOs). Rigondeaux was then scheduled to take on bantamweight roster Joseph Agbeko on December 7, 2013, at Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, New Jersey. Instead, Rigondeaux retained the WBA (Super), WBO, The Ring, and lineal super bantamweight with unanimous decisions, winning all rounds on all three judge cards (120-108).

Top Rank has announced that the next defense will be for veterans Sod Kokietgym (63-2-1, 28 KOs) on July 19, 2014, at the Cotai Arena, Macao, China. Rigondeaux won the fight after the battle was halted in the middle of the first round. On December 31, 2014, Rigondeaux retained his title against Japan’s Hisashi Amagasa at Bodymaker’s Colosseum, Osaka, Japan.
