Ivey is the son of Javin Hunter and Niele Ivey. His mother works as an American college basketball coach. She is the head coach at the University of Notre Dame, and his father is a former American footballer who played as a wide receiver. College Highlights

Jaden Ivey did not have the ideal start of his freshman season. In his early freshman season, he suffered a foot injury, which led to Ivey missing a total of five games; however, the injury did not stop him.

Ivey returned for future games, and on January 19, 2021, he went against Ohio State. Ivey contributed with a game-winning three-pointer in the last five seconds of the game, scoring 15 points and a win 67-65. Two months later, Ivey set a season-high 26 points in the first round of the NCAA Tournament and a win against North Texas. 

Ivey set an average of 11.1 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in his freshman season, which earned him the Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors.

National Team Highlights

Jaden Ivey played in the national team for the United States at the 2021 FIBA Under-19 World Cup. He set an average of 12.3 points per game in the tournament, ultimately helping his team win the gold medal. Ivey and his team won against Turkey, scoring a team-high 21 points. In addition, Ivey was named to the all-tournament team.
