Shauna Coxsey is a professional Rock Climber who has won the British Boulder Championship several times. She is one of the wealthiest rock climbers in the world. She is the third woman ever to build a V14. The 28-year-old rock climber is also eligible for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Shauna was born on January 27, 1993, in Runcorn, Chere, England. Shauna is the daughter of Mike Coxsey and Mavis Coxsey. Mike himself was a great rock climber. Somehow he had influenced his daughter to try to climb the rocks. She also watched Catherine Destvelle’s TV Broadcast about Rock Climbing. Shauna Coxsey Career
Coxsey has been very active in the rise of the competition and has participated in several international competitions in the fight. She has won the British Bouldering Championship many times. In 2012, she was able to win the 9th edition of Melloblocco and finished second in the World Cup in Log-Dragomer and Innsbruck. she finished third in the Bouldering World Cup in 2012.
In 2013, she climbed her first problem purely was placed in 8B (V13) while climbing Nuthin ‘But Sunshine in Rocky Mountain National Park. In November, she was appointed as a delegate to the British Mountain Mountain Council. In 2014, she placed second at the IFSC World Cup in Bouldering and fourth at the Bouldering World Championship in Munich. That very same year, she became the third woman ever to build an 8B + (V14) stone while leading the New Baseline at Magic Wood near the Swiss city of Chur. In 2015, she won the British Bouldering Championship in Sheffield and took first place at the Bouldering World Cup in Munich.
Coxsey was nominated as a member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) at the 2016 Birthday Honors for Lifting Services. In late 2016, she faced a shoulder injury that prevented him from competing in that year’s Bouldering World Championship; although she was ranked at all levels in the Bouldering World Cup. she has won four IFSC World Cups in Meiringen (SUI), Kazo (JPN), similarly in Innsbruck (AUT) and Sheffield (UK). During the World Cup in Munich (GER), she finished second. In 2017.
She also won four Bouldering World Cup categories, Meiringen (SUI), Kazo (JPN), Mumbai (IND), and Vail (USA). In Munich (GER), she again was able to be placed second and defended the entire 2017 title. In the date August 2019, she won two bronze medals at the 2019 IFSC Climbing World Championships in Hachioji, Bouldering, and a joint event. In her last stint at the combined event, she set a record for the British women’s pace with 9.141 seconds, earning second place in the combined speed building by winning the races against Futaba Ito and Miho Nonaka before losing to Aleksandra Miroslaw.
